CLPA's organizers recognized early on that membership dues alone would not be enough to fund the group's many activities. They therefore created an auxiliary group with the express purpose of raising funds for the parent organization. The Auxiliary, now consisting of some two dozen dedicated women, have worked tirelessly to help generate the revenues needed by CLPA to support its programs. They have sponsored events ranging from fashion shows to wine-and-art auctions to an annual "super-garage sale". Its current major fund-raiser is sponsorship of the annual Lake County Home Wine Makers Festival. They also help at concerts providing food for the orchestra and cookies for the audience and make other occasions such as the annual meeting and the anniversary celebration a success. The group enjoys numerous social activities, including theater excursions, barbecues, pot-luck luncheons and others. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 10 am in the annex of Galilee Lutheran Church on Soda Bay Road in suburban Kelseyville. Those interested in joining the Auxiliary are urged to attend.
